I made this instrument for the musician whose first
instrument is the guitar. It has standard sized guitar frets
and fret markers at the 3rd, 5th, 7th, 9th, 12th and 15th
frets.
Quilted Concert
Spalted Mango concert with "Stealth" Gotoh tuners. This instrument was made for a musician whose first instrument is a guitar and
so the position markers are located as they are normally found on guitars. I've adopted this for all my ukuleles, unless requested
otherwise, because frequently ukulele players also play guitars, and in fact the guitar may be their first/primary instrument, and
having markers in different positions is just confusing. This instrument also has standard sized guitar frets, rather than the thinner
frets usually found on ukuleles. I think this works well on all but the smallest, soprano ukulele, where the spaces between frets at the
upper positions may be too narrow.
